"The Iron Camera" is a meditation on photography, following three main ideas: firstly, photography as an intrusion, as a violation of intimacy. Nature likes to hide; it usually hides by changing-photography pins it down. Secondly, the solitude of the photographer, the enormous distance between him and the world that he’s trying to capture. The third is about the journey, the passing of time, about decay and the desire for permanence.
